Tamamura Kozaburo (玉村 康三郎) est un des rares photographes japonais du dix-neuvième siècle, né en 1856 ( le premier daguerréotype au japon daterais de 1959) il est un des premiers "Yokohama Shashin". On entend par là un style
de photos touristiques dont étaient friands les premiers voyageurs en manque d'exotisme. Il faut dire qu'après 250 années d'isolation, en 1958 le japon autorisait suite à un traité commercial ses ports aux bateaux venant d'Amérique et d'Europe. A l'apogée de sa carrière pour répondre à certaine commande son labo employait plus de 100 personnes qui coloriaient à la main les photographies...
